As predicted was the 180-kilometer star tour in Grindsted a hard place. But there were also positive signs, although the editor, costumes just as expected, failed to come up with the fastest around. We'll get back to. For the first little about the best organized bicycle races, we have been engaged in for years! Spitzenklasse in Grindsted - they are knowledgeable costumes about Motion Cycling.
Sydbank Star Tour de Grindsted costumes settle on their website up as "the year's first major bike race". When writing this, it obviously an expectation not just many participants, but also a great experience, and we can well reveal immediately, that was it. The hills near Grindsted can not quite measure up to what we can muster here around Aarhus / Skanderborg, but "Blue Horse" and "Åst Tray" are still not hills I forget just foreløbelig!
The editor had been reported on the very long route of 180 miles, so was very up early to reach to Grinnell to start at 8:03. That's good enough early to start a race. Come to bed the day before at 02, and it's costumes just too late when you have to get up at 5:45 to drive to start. costumes It should not be an excuse for the location of the race, but it had a negative effect not to have got more than 5 hours sleep, it turned out.
Sydbank Star Tour de Grindsted does not operate with enrollment in the day (such act a confident costumes exercise bicycle race), so the mood at pickup of the starting number costumes was very relaxed and it went too fast to obtain number. When the song was mounted, costumes could the editor for the first time relax and here I experience today's first critical thing about the race, it was there, not many, but it seemed that there were only 2 toilets. Everyone knows that cyclists often, both the one and the other before the start, so it was a bit critical, and the queue was long but did manage relieved to start. I'm sure there were more toilets in the main hall, where enrollment was going on, so little signage to more toilets suggested.
Star Tour uses "of course" electronic timer placed with sticker chip on the helmet. Very fat, so you need not look quite as stupid as the editor did last week for Tray race where the starting number should be placed on the handlebars, the slap we are not so well off. Do we have never seen so many volunteers for a run!
The start went well and was set briskly out of the city, where the route also went through a few traffic lights, but what does it mean when the police costumes / police militias are in place to stop traffic and send cyclists along, both to red and so on. It just floated. Saturday in Grindsted were priorities clear - Today, drive bike race! Out on the trail we met though a few drivers that do not quite think they should give space, especially on the way up the first hill. It has a fresh field of riders a stupid tend to flatten out and fill up all the way, a couple of times gave the unfortunate situations.
One suggestion could be that you placed a friendly sign on top of the hills, "Today is run bicycle race, show respect"? By all descents were placed signs for us riders if there was sharp turns, or challenges at one particularly sharp turn was even placed costumes a volunteer to direct, delicious.
I had in fact promised to take a breather, and trundle around, visit the depots and just have a "nice bike ride" ... meeeeen editor soon found out that he had come away with the fast boys (again), and the first part of the route was fun with lots of exciting driving. Both cornering, and up and down the various, for me, unknown hills. The group I went with, was actually so fast that we made contact with the front of the first start group (we were starting group 2) after only about 30 kilometers. Then it went out of there, and the hills were eaten in anything but steady pace, but the legs felt good. On Åst tray (see photo above), I see almost fresh out, but already at the top of the Blue Horse (here above) costumes began the hard pace, however, putting
