Jacquie Lee Makes an Emotional Statement mug with ‘Broken Ones’ EP (JJJ Interview) | Exclusive, Jacquie Lee, Music | Just Jared Jr.
The 17-year-old singer opens up to JJJ about her new EP Broken Ones and its first single of the same name.
“The song is a voice for anyone who needs it,” Jacquie tells us. “A song that reminds you that you’re never truly alone. We are all scared. I chose it as the title track because it had depth to it. I want people to know what kind of artist I am and what I stand for.”
JL: Haha! It’s madness. Every good artist is a tortured soul. I usually write at night and start by playing some basic chords on a keyboard and then just vibe. Lyrics come easy because inspiration comes easy these days. There is always something on my mind.
JL: I wanted to take an obvious song that people saw one way and completely change their perspective, make them think, throw a curveball. The lyrics to the song I actually interpreted as sad so that’s how I thought mug it should be sung.
