Which turned into the mid -season premier of What Happened, What’s Going On? whose title alludes to the newest threat to the survivors, roving bands of murderous survivors preying on the living.
Those rovers destroyed the protected suburban enclave that Noah’s family was living in, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Michonne (Dania Gurira), Noah (Tyler James Williams) post it and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) discovering Noah’s mother with her head caved in – post it not the act of walker. post it
We lost an important character last week in Tyreese’s post it brutal death. It is worth noting that the first walker to bite Tyreese was a child, post it Noah’s brother. An image of a white cottage, the same cottage where Mikkia and LIzzie met their deaths, is seen throughout the show.
If we remember that episode, it is where Tyreese forgives Carol for killing Karen back at the prison and for which Rick threw her out the “group” post it and leads to a thread throughout the ensuing shows where Tyreese is a constant reminder that those that live must retain their humanity. So post it the use of the child as a walker, and the back from the dead cameos post it of Beth, Lizzie and Mika are a message from the show creators – and I think its that survivors turned walkers on I95 heading to Washington are going to have their last bits of sanity tested via a lack of food, water and that these rovers are out there.
In zombie apocalypse, we have learned, fear the living more than the dead. Greg Nicotero payed homage to Arthur Grimsdyke, Peter Cushing s character from the Tales from the Crypt film segment Poetic Justice, in the episode.
The second walker, I believe, was a special one to the show as it was one of those “Easter post it eggs” in that special effects artist Greg Nicotero payed homage to Arthur Grimsdyke, Peter Cushing s character from the Tales from the Crypt film segment Poetic Justice, in the episode.
So the long walk begins. The preview from last week shows the living to be close to death. And we know someone is going to die. Or maybe they will give us a break and not kill someone tonight. Hope springs eternal.
So which character will die next. It won’t be Rick, Daryl, post it Carl or Michonne. Not sure if Maggie belongs to that group. I think Glenn could be expendable to push Maggie to the edge after the elation of finding Beth and the horror of her being dead.
Noah is on the list as he is not really important anymore. He was part of the “save Beth and get to Richmond” thread. And he bonded well with Tyreese, but we know what happened there. So not sure why we need to keep him around other than we seem to need that “at least one” from each age group – infant Judith (safe), post it young teen Carl (safe), young adult Noah (not safe) and then we have the 30s – Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Tara – a big group there that other than Michonne, post it Maggie and Glen, could be on the block. I don’t think it will be Sasha as she takes over as the “compass” of the show as she struggles to maintain the humanity her brother Tyreese post it often reminded her of.
Tara has long b
