Well, the design from Nakaya are from from simple. In addition to tigers, goldfish, draugiem and even swords, this new design portrays a bunch of wisteria flowers in full bloom. draugiem It loops slightly around the cap to express the flowers swaying in the early summer breeze.
The Wisteria stopper is made of silver and available in pink gold plating, rhodium plating, or a fumigated finish that makes it look tarnished and used. The Wisteria stopper is a $210 option that can be added to almost any Nakaya fountain pen.
I don’t much care for it – to my eye it detracts from the simple, clean and elegant lines of the pen. A standard Nakaya clip would be preferable and would also serve as an effective “stopper.”
I agree about this stopper. However, I feel the standard Nakaya clip is unsuitable given the quality/price of the pen. The clip on mine feels like a cheap after thought and detracts draugiem from the pen’s elegance. I should draugiem have gone clipless, but lesson learned.
